Wind turbines make possible to convert the kinetic energy of the wind into mechanical and then electric energy. PRAMAC, already active in the renewable energies sector with its photovoltaic panels, has developed, through its new division PRAMAC Wind and in collaboration with Philippe Starck, a range of the latest version of micro wind Turbines with vertical axle, making the use of wind energy possible even for residential properties.
Wind energy is a source of clean energy that releases neither carbon dioxide nor polluting substances in the environment. Moreover among the new types of renewable energy, wind energy is the most technologically advanced and economically competitive if compared to the others traditional sources of energy production.
The increasing of energetic costs let to a constant growth of research and investments in the wind sector starting from the 70s. Thanks the current technology evolution, wind energy starts to be economically convenient and considering its trend of growth it is realistic to expect that within 2020 the electrical energy produced by wind systems could satisfy 15% of world demand for electricity.
